You need to make sure that you are providing value to your audience. What you can do to beat your competitors is just google the selected keyword and explore all the competitors ranking pages now check what are they providing for their users and now you have to create better content than your competitors to rank your website.
Step2- Start with Headings Tags
You have to choose a great heading that can make excitement in the reader’s mind, well this should come in the copywriting article and I will explain the steps to create an outstanding heading in my next article but for this guide let’s stick with SEO. Make sure you should have only one H1 tag on one page. Use your selected keywords that you have researched in the last chapter in the Heading Tags. Try to use them in H1, H2, and H3 but make sure to use it strategically with meaningful and readable sentences. Do not forget that you are writing for users, not for search engines. Make sure that your sentences are readable and easily understandable.
Step3- Proper keyword use in the article or content.
The keyword density for a piece of content should not be more than 2-3 percent make sure to keep your keyword density less than 2-3 percentage. A density of more than 3% will be keyword stuffing a will find as spam. You can use synonyms of the words related to your keyword it also gives an advantage in SEO.
Step4- Write an Outstanding Title
Now it comes to the title of your content. Writing the title for your content is not a big deal you just need to make sure that your title contains your target keyword. Use your target keyword in the tile strategically.
step5- Write your Meta Description
For writing a meta description you need to keep two things in mind 1. use your target keyword in meta. 2. Make sure you write content to convince the user to click on your result. As a user is a person looking for the product and services you are offering and he will see many results from your competitors and thus you need to make sure to add highlight the UPIs of your business so the user will click on your result.
Step6- Optimize Images for SEO
Now the step comes to image optimization, don’t forget to add alt text in the Image and use your target keywords in alt txt but not mich maintain the right number do not excess use your keyword otherwise it will look spammy. Examples of a good alt text for image optimization.
Step7- Develop an SEO friendly URL
How do SEO friendly looks like? thinking the same thing. Fewsame thing and come to these results.
Make sure your URL has these properties
* Use a short URL, shorl URLs are more likely to rank.
* Use your keyword in the URL, it will help. you rank higher.
* Use ‘-‘ for space rather than using ‘_’, Google tale this ‘-‘ as space.
* make your URL easy to understand with a short text.
These were somethings you need to check for URL and URL optimization.
Step8- Make sure your page is indexed by google
Will all these hard work matters if your page is not indexed by google? Of course not. Go to your google search console and submit the URL here now click on the index page use it when you need to index your page quickly otherwise your page will be crawled automatically if you submit a sitemap.
Things to Avoid
Cloaking is a black hat SEO technique that is not recommended according to search engine guidelines. Cloaking is when you are showing different content to users and different content to search engines. The process of cloaking is never recommended as it may cause a penalty by search engine and your webpage can be blocked to appear on search engines. You can be smart with your techniques but don’t try to break the guidelines from the searching engine.
You may understand it with its name duplicate content. It’s that content that is published in different pages of the same domain or maybe in different domains. You will need to make sure to create unique content for every page of your website and if you are using the original content on the other page of your website you can add a “rel canonical” Tag so google can understand which page is original or which is duplicate content.
Keyword stuffing is when you are using your target keyword very often. It says more thank 3 times in a paragraph. Keyword stuffing looks like this and googles take it as black had technique and thus it is not recommended. It may cause the page to disappear from the search engine.
Have you seen many websites that offer content spinning tools? yes, of course, there are many but you should not use them they can save your time but is not good as they will provide content that is not understandable by users and you have to make sure to create content for the user not for search engines.
